Hyperlinks

Some users who rely on screen readers navigate by listening to a list of links only, so each link must make sense without surrounding text.

  • Use descriptive link text that explains the destination or purpose (e.g., “Download the annual report” instead of “Click here”).
  • Avoid using full URLs or vague phrases like “read more.”
  • Ensure link text is underlined or clearly styled so it’s easy to identify.

The goal: make every link understandable and accessible to all users—no matter how they navigate your content.
